Medina Lake Live is a free, independently run hobby project that displays public lake-level and streamflow data from USGS and NOAA. It is not operated by a company, and it does not require or offer user accounts. This page explains what little data is collected when you visit.

Information we collect

We don't collect any personal information directly — there are no forms, accounts, or logins on this site. When you visit, standard technical data is collected automatically through Google Analytics, described below.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how it's used (page views, approximate location at the city/region level, device and browser type, and referring pages). Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. This data is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising

This site may display ads served by Google and other third-party advertising vendors. These vendors may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Lake and streamflow data displayed on this site comes directly from public USGS Water Services and NOAA NWPS APIs. This site has no control over, and isn't responsible for, the privacy practices of those or any other linked third-party sites.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated occasionally to reflect changes in analytics, advertising, or applicable law. The "last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision.
